I remember eating these growing up at birthday parties and at school fetes and I absolutely loved them. I have a recipe that I love which is a mix of other recipes because I use real chocolate.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of rice rubbles
- 1 cup of desiccated coconut
- 375g cooking chocolate melts - melted
To prepare:
- Place 12 patty pans into a 12 hole patty tin. You may need 24 if you don't want large chocolate crackles. Because I am giving these to children as well, I wanted them smaller so I made 24 patty pans.
- Melt the chocolate in a heat proof bowl over boiling water on stove top (I have also used the microwave to melt chocolate, but if you do, make sure you stir chocolate drops every 30 seconds- it will take 1-2 minutes depending on your microwave watts)
- Add coconut and rice bubbles and mix well until chocolate has coated rice bubbles.
- Spoon into patty pans and then you can sprinkle them with hundreds and thousands, sprinkles, coconut or you can leave them plain.
- Place in the fridge. Once firm, ENJOY, YUMMY!!!!
